Coming Home For Christmas

After all of the leaves, turned from red to grey

There are joys in the air, for those people who are cared.

Sitting by the fireplace, drinking laughing in the rest

But who would ever know, what the other side of the world

There are six-feet tall children,

In the line to wait for the welfare.

I see a mom without a daughter, the space between getting older.

This old man in the small house, nothing but hope for the family he never had.

Oh what do you see?

After all of the leaves, piled up on the sideways

The kids across the borders, driving their way to home now.

The street outside the door, neighbors shoveling out the snow

But who would ever know, what’s truly we all want.

All the bright lights in the big city, these tv shows that make you feel.

There is more to take than what you get, or let you feel bad not to spare.

How long will it take to realize, It don’t belong to what’s really we are.

Oh what do you say?

For the first time in a while, On my way to those dear smiles.

I walk this winter aisle, to deliver these two simple words.

I’m coming home for Christmas
